Abacus Data has released a poll on Federal Voting Intentions. Liberals, BQ, PPC, and others slide in support while Conservatives continue to surge ahead of the pack. The NDP remained unchanged.
Abacus Data polled 1500 Canadians on multiple questions regarding the current political landscape. The poll took place between January 27th and 30th, 2023. The claimed accuracy is +/- 2.6%, 19 times out of 20.
The poll also noted that 55% of Canadians now believe the country is on the wrong track compared to only 30% thinking it is on the right path.
The Liberal party’s issues may stem from current economic woes. 52% responded that the government is not focused enough on the cost of housing, while 50% believe they aren’t doing enough about the rising cost of living.
Conservatives have been harping on Liberal monetary mismanagement and waste, very much in line with Canadian ssentiment.
