Unless you’ve been hiding under a rock lately, you are undoubtedly aware of the latest “scandal” involving the Federal and Alberta Provincial Conservatives.
Late last week, both Pierre Poilievre and Danielle Smith were photographed with a man wearing a green t-shirt bearing a slogan that caused controversy among some Canadians, mostly Liberal Canadians.

The t-shirt bore the call to action “straight pride” and asked people to thank straight people for their existence, a clear jab at the increasingly controversial “pride” movement. Poilievre and Smith have both put out statements that they did not read the t-shirt and do not agree with it’s messaging. Liberals are having nothing to do with the statement and have gone on the attack.

While the vast majority of folks that comment on political issues are up in arms regardless of political beliefs, few (and I mean VERY few) are smelling something fishy and familiar. Let’s not forget self declared PPC founding member Jeremy McKenzie doing something similar with this photo op which the left jumped on to attempt to paint Poilievre as far right.

If that wasn’t enough of a similarity, let’s take a look at a video from Twitter when Dan Dicks from Press For Truth jumped up with Poilievre in front of the cameras in an attempt to frame him in a less than ideal light. The attempt failed miserably, but have a look in any case.
So now we have an as of yet unidentified man pulling the same kind of stunt. These attempts to discredit Poilievre have so far been connected to supporters of Maxime Bernier’s People’s Party of Canada. The goal is simple, paint Poilievre in a bad light then sit back and let the left point out how radical he is. The fact that he is considered radical by some is due in part to him being photographed with PPC supporters does seem to escape the Bernier cult, but that’s another topic altogether.
So if you’re one of those few that finds this latest photo opp familiar but fishy, you’re not alone. My square on the BINGO card is that this green t-shirt wearing man will be exposed as a PPC supporter in due time.
Just more of the same from the desperate, and as of yet, unelectable PPC.
